Welcome.
My passion in art comes from photography, a lifetime fascination. After ten years in graphic arts, I did my graduate studies in education. From then I was teaching while traveling the world. It was the best way for me to learn other cultures, languages and to photograph the beauty of life. My life and all that is conscious and unconscious is the result.
Artists Bio:
Margie Key Reed, a native of Southern Maryland, is a mixed media artist and printmaker. She combines watercolors, inks, charcoals, pencils  and sometimes acrylics for creation. Recently, she began to print her own artworks to extend her art just one step further, so that her limited  edition prints are authentic works. Her alcohol-gel prints have her special touch, and she likes the hand-printed feel of each one.

Margie began her career as a graphic artist and photographer, specializing in cover art for publication for the California State University System.  She won her first juried exhibition back in 1988 for special effects in photography. After ten years in the Graphics Department, she decided to complete  her graduate studies in education to teach and travel. She did just that for the next twenty years.

Much of her work reflects her experiences abroad. She enjoys the cultural flavor of the countries south of the US border most of all. In fact,  Margie spent most of those twenty years teaching and photographing Central and Southern Mexico. She is both multi-lingual  and multi-cultural. Recently, she has created quite a few artworks inspired by her return to the eastern USA..
